The 3rd annual Barclay Cup, a friendly table tennis match between PCT
pastors, was held on

July 30-31, 2010, at Municipal Jinsyue Elementary School in Tainan.
Players included pastors

from East Coast, Taichung, Shou-Shan, Kaohsiung, Tainan, and Chiayi
presbyteries.

A worship service was held before the games began where the speaker, Rev.
William Tseng,

delivered a sermon honoring Rev. Thomas Barclay. He highlighted the
purpose of Barclay

Cup was to help pastors socialize and network with one another.

Chang Jung Senior High School Principal Wang Chao-ching said it was an
honor for the

school to sponsor this event this year as part of the school’s 125th
anniversary celebrations.

She added that she hoped to invite Rev. Barclay’s mother church, the
United Reformed

Church in UK, to Taiwan in the future to take part in this event as well
so that Barclay Cup

could become an international event and a means for pastors to encourage
one another.

At the end of this exciting and competitive event, Kaohsiung, Taichung,
Shou-Shan, and

Tainan presbyteries won first, second, third, and fourth place
respectively in the group

competition segment of the games. There were also singles and doubles
tournaments on that day.
