SIGNING OF NEW ACADEMIC CONVENTION

For immediate release: 16 February 2011

At the end of today’s proceedings of the Central Committee
(Link: http://www.oikoumene.org/index.php?RDCT=dd37d30ee7dea9253739 ) of the 
World
Council of Churches (WCC) in the Ecumenical Centre a convention will be
signed between the Ecumenical Institute at Bossey, the WCC and University
of Geneva.

The signature ceremony will take place:
Wednesday, 16 February
at 6:30 pm
in the Ecumenical Centre,
150, route de Ferney
Visser 't Hooft Hall
(free parking available)

With this new convention all students attending a Bossey course and who
pass exams and meet all research requirements will have accredited
certification from the University of Geneva.

The convention will be signed by Jean-Dominque Vassalli, rector of
University of Geneva, Professor Andreas Dettwiler, dean of the Autonomous
Faculty of Protestant Theology of the University of Geneva, Rev. Dr Olav
Fkyse Tveit, WCC general secretary, and Fr Ioan Sauca, director of the
WCC’s Ecumenical Institute at Bossey (Link:
