Pennsylvania Congregation Hosts 'Mission Alive 2012' Conference Featuring 
International Speakers on Christian Missions

(Oct. 19, 2012) Elgin, IL --Lititz Church of the Brethren in central 
Pennsylvania will host Mission Alive 2012, a conference sponsored by the Global 
Mission and Service program of the Church of  Brethren denomination.

The church is located at 300 West Orange Street in the town of Lititz.

Mission Alive will be held Nov. 16-18 on the theme, "Entrusted with the 
Message" (2 Corinthians 5:19-20). The goal is to educate and invigorate people 
to be involved in missions.

>Keynote speakers are:

-- Jonathan Bonk, executive director of the Overseas Ministries Study Center in 
New Haven, Conn., and editor of "The International Bulletin of Missionary 
Research"

-- Josh Glacken, Mid-Atlantic regional director for Global Media Outreach

-- Samuel Dali, president of Ekklesiyar Yan'uwa a Nigeria (EYN--the Church of 
the Brethren in Nigeria)

-- Suely Zanetti Inhauser, family therapist and ordained minister in the Church 
of the Brethren who is a pastor and church planter for Igreja da Irmandade in 
Brazil

-- Jay Wittmeyer, Church of the Brethren executive director for Global Mission 
and Service

Workshops will be a large part of the event, providing information and 
inspiration on a wide variety of topics such as Internet evangelism, how 
churches can engage communities through the schools, Hispanic church planting, 
short-term missions, mission in post-colonial contexts, teens and missions, 
church-based health programs in Haiti and other countries, and more.

REILLY, a Philadelphia-based band known for its unique blend of rock and 
dueling violins, will give a concert as part of the conference at 8:30 p.m. the 
evening of Saturday, Nov. 17. The concert is open to the public for the price 
of a $5 ticket at the door.

The conference begins at 3 p.m. Nov. 16, and wraps up with worship at Lititz 
Church of the Brethren on Sunday morning, Nov. 18. Registration is $75, with
